Opening Art Reception

Ana Maria Gower, our very own alumna and the Director of Student Services, is organizing a grand art opening reception of her new studio in Berkeley on 8th Street. She is a mixed media artist and will be representing her woman series at her reception on October 31st. She believes women have a unique power to shape lives. From birth, to death, every step of the way, we are shaped by the women around us. The nature of influence may vary, the result of it is always meaningful.

In this series, she has created portraits of women who shaped her destiny and made her who she is today.

Ana Maria teaches art class every Wednesday at the student lounge. She believes that art is therapeutic and relaxing, gets people together to socialize, and teaches people how to be creative.
