GET TO KNOW CALI: Friday Nights at OMCA

The new semester is here! Have you had a chance to enjoy the warm summer sunshine and recharge yourself?

Don’t worry if you haven’t! Within a 10–15-minute walk of Lincoln University, the Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) hosts Friday Nights at OMCA with Off the Grid with free live music and food trucks every Friday (April–October) starting at 5 p.m.

Friday Nights at OMCA is an opportunity to bond with family, friends, and your community. Immerse yourself and make lasting memories against the backdrop of California’s vibrant culture.

You can bring your own food or grab dinner from any one of the Off the Grid food trucks on 10th Street, between Oak and Fallon Streets. Then, head to the OMCA Garden and lay down your blanket or find a picnic table to enjoy your local eats.

Lincoln's Get to Know Cali group went on August 9, 2024 and had an amazing time together sharing food, dancing to live music, and getting to know each other. We're looking forward to doing it again before the end of October. Hit us up if you want to join!

Curious about what else California has to offer? Join our WhatsApp group “Get to Know Cali” to connect with fellow students and discover exciting activities beyond the campus.
